Founder & Partner
David Fitz is the founder and partner of SDP. David brings nearly 20 years experience working in strategy and communications development with expertise and focus in strategy development, organizational and executive positioning, crisis communications, marketing and communications planning and execution, and brand development. Before founding SDP, David earned his master’s degree in public administration from the Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania. After returning to Cleveland, David served as press secretary for a former Cleveland Mayor, in media relations for the Cleveland Clinic, and as the vice president of public affairs for University Circle Inc.
Michael Graham is a partner with over 15 years of consulting experience in strategy and communications. Michael focuses his practice on strategic planning, organizational development, executive positioning, messaging and narrative development, nonprofit governance, and nonprofit mergers & strategic alliances. Michael, who is also an attorney, previously served as an Assistant Cuyahoga County Prosecutor, where his practice was largely dedicated to seeking justice for child victims as a member of the Major Trial Unit. Michael holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English from John Carroll University, and a master’s in urban planning from Cleveland State University’s Levin College. He also serves as a member of the City of Cleveland’s Civilian Police Review Board.
Sr. Director Of Strategy & Communications
Erika McLaughlin is senior director of strategy and communications for SDP and has more than 15 years working in the nonprofit and private sectors. Her communications expertise includes communications and social media strategy, media relations, crisis communications, website content and development, and overall strategic communications planning and execution. Erika is an adjunct faculty member at Kent State University (KSU). She holds a BS in Health Services Administration & Business from Ohio University and a Master's of Arts from KSU.
Director Of Strategy & Communications
Virginia Houston is director of strategy and communications and brings over seven years experience working in marketing, messaging, visual branding, and brand development for non-profit organizations. Before joining SDP, she worked for Ohio City Incorporated leading the marketing, positioning, and communications for the neighborhood and organization. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon.
Manager Of Strategy & Communications
Brant Duda is manager of strategy and communications for SDP, and has expertise in strategic planning, financial analysis, and research. From helping to transform the social service system in Columbia, South Carolina to managing a coalition combatting the opioid epidemic in Lorain County, Ohio to forming the first Center for the Arts in Oberlin, Ohio, Brant has worked on large-scale projects and with organizations that impact entire communities. Brant has masters of social administration and certificate in nonprofit management from Case Western Reserve University. He earned his bachelor’s degree from California University of Pennsylvania.
Ann Zoller is a Senior Advisor with SDP, working in partnership with the firm on select clients. Ann is an award-winning nonprofit and public-sector leader who focuses her work on helping clients engage in deep strategic thinking that results in transformative change. She previously served as Executive Director of LAND studio (formerly ParkWorks) for two decades, where her signature achievement was the $50 million redesign, rebuild, and revelation of Cleveland's downtown Public Square. Ann brings nearly 30 years of high level experience in strategic thinking, organizational development, executive coaching, consensus building, operations management, fund development, and passionate advocacy and communication to her consulting work.
