Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio has been an integral and vital part of its community for over thirty years, and was in the midst of a capital campaign to expand and increase its capacity when SDP was engaged to develop a communications strategy to tell the story of Second Harvest, with the goals of increasing awareness and ultimately expanding and diversifying its donor base.

SDP facilitated internal and community based focus groups, conducted one-on-one interviews with leadership, and visited distribution sites to assist in developing key messaging that effectively highlights the breadth of the work of Second Harvest.

SDP presented a comprehensive communications plan that included a new messaging framework, social media strategy, media and community relations, and a timeline for execution in alignment with the capital campaign.

Our work with Second Harvest continues as we work on the action plan to execute the steps of the communications plan.
